For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Sep 2000 Posts: 14 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Sep 2000 Posts: 14 | I've got a 1951 1/2 ton with Patrick's Saginaw 4 speed conversion (Hurst shifter) and have just finished mounting CPP's 6 lug disc brake kit now I am trying to mount CPP's manual dual master cylinder, I cannot for the life of me figure out how to get it to fit in the allotted space. I've looked at web photos and still can't figure it out. The proportioning valve is mounted on the bottom of the master cylinder and the lines going to it interfere with the trans linkage. If I mount the master cylinder with the "L" part of the bracket to the front, the bracket for the proportioning valve hits the gusset on the master cylinder bracket, (I can trim the mount) if I mount the "L" to the rear the cylinder hits the crossmember. Which was is it supposed to be mounted? Should I just take the trans crossmember out and worry about modifying it later? | | |
