| | | | Joined: Sep 2005 Posts: 6 New Guy | | New Guy Joined: Sep 2005 Posts: 6 | I have a 1948 Chevy 1/2 Ton 3 window Model 1300 and I was hoping one of you Chevy fans would be able to help me decode my VIN. I know I can pay a service about $40 to provide me with the history of the truck but I actually only wanted to know where it was built.
It goes like this: 8131405781
8- year 1948
13- is a 1/2 ton
14- is a short box
05781- unknown????
Any assistance is appreciated
