Yes, the trans lube will transmit enough torque to spin the driveshaft, but pretty slowly under normal circumstances. The Model "T" would actually roll forward in neutral if it was started with the trans grease cold, so some people would jack up one rear wheel before cranking the engine on a cold morning. Otherwise, the things could run over the person out front turning the crank!
