Chilton's say's to use loctite 601 or equivalent to seal the counterhsaft bearing in place. Parts stores don't have it but did have high strenght 641 or 643. Permatex web-site does not list any of these #'s. I want to use the right stuff, and don't want to lock the bearing in place so that it will never come out again. I also don't know the intent of the sealer, if it's a mechanical bond or just a sealer. I suspect if it was just a sealer they would say to use RTV as they do in the rest of the instructions. Any Ideas?
