I don't care about "originality" but more of a vintage look. I believe in picking a theme and going with it with every nut and bolt if I can. If something doesn't fall in this theme, at least it is something that isn't very noticable. The spare tire thing is something I kinda wanted vintage because I just like those old carriers.
I will probably just make something up that looks vintage.
