OH! Are you aware that the sending unit has a resistance value that must match the value of the fuel gauge. Most GM rigs of the '50's era used 30 ohm systems. A '84 will probably have a 90 ohm sending unit...this means your '52 fuel gauge will not read properly with your '84 sender. Just a thought!
