on my 67 283 the battery almost melted theres a bracket on the front that goes up and bolts to the block . Well it came loose and fell on the cable and starter things got hot and I got a tow home so now i got new cables and everything is fine except i cant get the front bracket back in can i go without it i see most starters dont even have the front bracket is it realy needed if so mayby i can get it jacked up enuff theres not much room for to top bolt because of the manifold let me know what you think thanks guys for the help
