When mine was 6 I always had problems starting after the engine was really hot (such as idling in line at the dump). So as soon as I shut it off to unload my truck, it was almost a certain thing that I would not be able to restart the truck until after the engine cooled down a little.
Then I switched to 12 volts & the problems for both extreme hot and cold temps have gone away....
