I have a 51 3/4 ton so my expertise carries only from the 3100 series or 1/2 ton to the 3600 series 3/4 ton. I converted mine to a ½ ton by swapping rear ends (10 bolt Camaro) and a TCI spring kit. I also swapped the six for a small block V8 with an auto transmission. It really depends on what you want for your finished product. The frame on the ¾ ton is a little different from the ½ ton and the springs mount differently. There are a lot of guys here that will offer options. The advice is good and worth taking. You just need to work your way through as you decide what you want for a ride.
