The first two pages refer to the "Cast Iron Wonder", the 1929-1962 stovebolt sixes, the 194-261 cubic inch engines. Those two pages are a very brief description of sixes from 1929-1962.
As Dave said, this book is really for the newer 194-292 engines. I mistakenly bought one a few years ago, thinking it had information about the older sixes.
A book about the stovebolt sixes is "Cast Iron Wonder. Chevrolet's Fabulous Six", Floyd Clymer Pub. 1st. ed. 1961. 68 pages. Lots of photos of vehicles but not a lot of technical information.
