I'm finally driving it!! Here I am, parked on the street at work!
Today picture I drove it around a little bit last week, but the rearend howled like a mountain cat in heat. Just finished up getting a '69 Chevy 1/2 ton 12 bolt in last night, now I can hear all the rattles! It's on to fixing up all the other stuff.
Still need to get the gauge cluster installed, along with a bunch of new parts I ordered. Speedo cable, fuel sending unit, and get the charging system going. Needs rear shocks, too.
I'm excited I'll be daily driving my '57 on its 50th anniversary, and on the 30th of this month I'll have had this truck exactly a year and a half!!
Before picture Here's what it looked like when I got it 10/30/05, the previous owner dismantled it completely to "Pro-Street" it, he got overwhelmed before he could screw it up too bad.
I'm just excited to be driving my "new" old truck!!
