Here I go guys--first post on this site. Sorta like giving a Crescent wrench to a monkey---you know sooner or later, something is gonna get screwed up!!! Anyhoo, trying to find replacement park brake cables for my '50 3100 with original driveline in place. Two sets purchased from same supplier (plastic jacket on outside of sheath)---both sets alike, in that I cannot get the two brackets that bolt up to the backing plate to squeeze together in such a manner that the two bolts that fasten them to the backing plate will go through the holes. The brackets have about a half-hole offset when squeezed together. All the supplier catalogs I have found all appear to have the same cable. Anyone out there have this same problem and/or a solution???
