Stick is right. Support it with a stand or jack close to the ball joint & hammer it out. I use a similar way going back but the purists will shudder. I put a heavy metal under the ball joint & jack it up under the metal to get spring tension on it. Then I take the same hammer & a large bar or drift & hammer the a-arm down. Do it at your own risk.
