we had a 63 suburban. the wood floor starts at the rear doors and goes all the way up to the second row of seats. when you are sitting upon the second row your feet will be on steel flooring. the joint between the two substrates is under that row of seating.
as far as finding color names and codes, take the code as 64fleetside states and look it up in a book called "chevrolet pick up red book". this book has all the coding break downs from 1946 to 1972. author is peter c. sesslor
