I am now at the point of getting ready to drive the full resto out on the road, and have not been able to find a hood safety latch for the 1953 3100 short bed. Does anyone know of a place to secure one of these babies, and does it really matter? The hood shuts securely as it is; I have tried to lift it and it is locked down tight! I have tried Mothertruckertrucks and all the usual suspects from the aftermarket dealers. But, maybe I am missing one. The latch bolts to the underside of the hood and is shaped like an inverted "L."
