Hello all never been on this forum before. Iam usally in the bodyshop. Here is my question .I have a original 63 gmc 920 napco with 56000 miles, purchased from (well sorta the first owner),the cab is very rusted on the bottom,I mean it's shot!! I have all of the parts and I do own a bodyshop, but find it very hard to get the time to work on my own stuff. In my travels I found a mint I mean perfect 61 chev apache fire truck with 13000 miles ,stored indoors.I know there will be a bit of fab work to make the 61 cab mounts work but nowhere near as much as needs to be done to the sixty three cab floor, rockers, inner, outer, cab corners, lower hinge pillar,.The thing is I like the chev dash better and love the big old apache hood.I could turn it into a 61 apache napco but!!!!!!!! now it's not original After all I am planning on using her daily not showing or selling, but Ialso don't want a frankenstein machine !
