i think the 292 is a 6 qt and deeper. and not all the attachments for the oil pickup are the same even for the 292. the older blocks i've seen sometimes have a different main bolt that it attaches to, so the part that goes around the tube can be longer or shorter. the 292 i'm doing right now is a 64 or 65 and i had to reuse a clamp part off a old tube to make it work, the one that came with the tube was not right lenth.
