| | | | Joined: Feb 2007 Posts: 86 Member | | Member Joined: Feb 2007 Posts: 86 | I'm planning on using hydraulic lift gate rams I swiped off a wrecked venture van from work. The van's upper mount has the exact same 'L' bracket as my '51 that I'll mount to the hood and just drill out the pivot pin from the original firewall bracket and replace it with a set of pivot balls from my S-10's rear lift gate.
That might be a thought for ya if you don't mind straying from original equipment.
