My '55 only had 1, and it was where the pipe went over the axle. And it was on the passenger side. Seems the pipe crossed ove to the right on the 3200/3600 that year, don't really know why. The muffler shop special exhaust that was on it was routed wrong anyway, so the shield didn't really do anything.
