It's the only thing that stopped my fan belts from squeeling ... you can definitely use it instead of primer (my nephew paints cars and couldn't believe it until he tried it) ... it not only prevents rust but it actually eats rust ... and if you have any stainless steel appliances, you know about fingerprints that can't be removed -- GIBBS removes them forever. Way cool.
