Well guys, I'm new to this forum, but I took the plunge yesterday.
http://community.webshots.com/user/RBophoto It is a 59. Looks good from across the street, but is definitely a project. Has an unfinished 6-cyl 3spd to V-8/powerglide conversion. Has some rust through at the bottom door hinges/floor board, and the bed stays.
I am still figuring out what to do with it. I'm not sure I have time for a full body-off resto. On the other hand, it would be a good learning experience for me and what the truck deserves.
It was cool pulling into the driveway with it on the trailer. Several neighbors came running over to see it. Everyone who has seen it or photos have general said "Oh what a cool truck!!"
So, I will have many questions to follow. Brakes are probably the first priority (brake line was cut to put in the crossmember for the V8) just to roll it off the trailer, then get it running just so I can move it in and out of the garage. Thanks in advance.
