I think they are easy too.
I use a cold chisel that is about 14" long and 1" wide with a good sized cross peen hammer on a 18" handle. Holding the chisel with vice grips allows you to really swing the hammer without worry. Usually only 3 or 4 blows is needed for a 3/8" rivet. Then follow with a punch.

An air hammer with chisel and punch is really nice if you have one and air is available.
