Well, thanks! I've been lurkin' awhile, but I had to chime in for this thread!
Lots of early (1920's?) high-end cars were painted with a brush, as that was the only way to do it, and they still do it on some coach-built car restos in England.
You may want to check this out, somebody else has had great success painting cars with "roll on paint". It couldn't hurt to try it on my '57.
