I'm removing my master cylinder to rebuild it and I can't get the brake pedal off. How does the pin through the master cylinder and pedal arm come out? Should it just slide out after the retainer is removed? I tapped on it a little and it didn't move. Should it come out toward the frame or the transmission? I guess I want to make sure that if I pound on it, that I'm pounding in the right direction. HELP PLEASE!
