| | | | Joined: May 2006 Posts: 8,351 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: May 2006 Posts: 8,351 | There is a difference in the linkage from v8 to 6 cylinder. The '55/'56 have a 2 peice shift rod and a bellcrank for 2nd/3rd gears. The shift arm on the trans is also inverted compared to the v8 trucks.
