I'm 6'2", on the thin side. I don't have any trouble with leg or head room in my '54 Chevy 1/2-T and find the bench seat way more comfortable for long drives than the bucket seats in friends' cars. There's plenty of clearance in there for me all the way around... except if I have to do any under-the-dash repair stuff. Then it's kind of cramped for a guy my height.

However, I did test drive a '46 Chevy truck and darned if my head didn't hit the ceiling every time we hit a bump. The leg room wasn't as good, plus I had to scrunch my head down to see out the windshield. It was a no-brainer that the '46 had too small a cab for me.


My mechanic calls it an oil leak... I call it my truck's 'self-lubricating chassis' feature.
