The best suggestion I can give (and the most likely answer you'll get) is to use an '82-'91 long bed S-10 chassis. It's a rather popular conversion among the AD owners. Installing a small block is no problem as there are many conversion kits around, and upgrading the suspension and brakes are easy, too. Lots of good lowering kits to get the stance you want. The conversion also fixes the wheelbase issue that the stock frame has.
