I had a 270 gmc running on 3 cylinders once. I pulled 3 of the spark plugs off, and left them off while it ran with no difference. Thought I had finally blown it up. Then I looked at the firing order and figured I had wired it @$$ backwards. Rewired it correctly... 1-5-3-6-2-4, and it ran like a champ on all 6 cylinders. I would find it highly unlikely that a 6 cylinder engine would run on only 1 cylinder.
