Oldblue, That number tells us that the engine was likley originally installed in a '61 model vehicle. F=Flint engine plant, 1223= December 23, and I'm 99.9% certain A= 1960. One of the last motors built before the X-mas break 1960, the 1961 models were of course already in the showrooms. HTH, Tony.
