I am the proud ownere of a 66 C10. I am trying to determine what engine I have in it and whether or not it is original. The casting number definately reads 38771780 or 3877178C.
Directly to the rear of that number reads "CON2 ?H25" I presume that this is the engine code, but the letter preceeding the "H" is obscured by the dipstick. From my references any 66 engine with a "H" is a 292cid (ie. UH). But the casting number reference shows 230-250cid.
It is a 3-speed of the tree if that helps?
