Newbie here making his first posts to the forums.

As of this morning when I mailed off my check I am now a 1965 C-10 owner. I was looking for the Holy Grail of C-10's (short bed, big window, factory air, factory tach). I found all that but in a long bed. I have since found the website describing the long bed to short bed conversion which I am 99% sure will happen on this truck.

I don't think I did too bad, I paid $1600 for it and will be driving the 1000 miles from SC to pick it up in a couple weeks.

I posted a picture to the Paint and Body Shop forum with a picture of a Photoshopped extended cab truck. I'd be interested to hear if anyone here has seen or attempted this. A friend who is a restoration shop owner wants to go this way instead of cutting the front portion of the frame in the long bed to short bed conversion.
