There should be a filter in the big fitting where the fuel line goes into the carb. Make sure you put the filter in the correct way(spring goes in first then the filter --hole end of the filter out).
The large fitting also has very fine threads and can be damaged very easily when trying to thread it back into the carb so make sure it goes in straight and turns easy.

There is enough good in the worst of us and enough bad in the best of us that it does not behoove any of us to criticize the rest of us.
