The only dealings that I actually had with them was early on. At that time, people were building bogus cars and optioning them as they saw fit trying to pass off as original. Since then, I read that they drew a hard line on that practice and really want much proof of ownership to make sure they are not helping someone legalize a stolen car. Even in the 80s the tag was pricey. I am not surprised that they did not want to finish someone elses repro tag but I am very surprised that they shut you down with no interest in making another ID plate for you. I guess I need to reconsider my reccomendations.
