Im sure you don,t have too drop the tranny to change the rear oil seal.just take off flywheel cover pan and look upto see if the main is leaking.It will be a wet with oil.if leaking drop the oil pan,the rear main bearing cap and just loosen two crank bearing caps from the back up.They make a tool that pulls the new seal in place.or you can doit with a piece of wire carefully and trim the seal off ever with the block.Its a rope seal :confused:
