#2154 11/22/2003 12:50 AM | Joined: Jul 2003 Posts: 106 Member | | Member Joined: Jul 2003 Posts: 106 | The clutch in my 51 3100 hasn't ever really been all that easy to work with(gears grind between shifting sometimes and when going into reverse), but lately I'm just starting to hear kindof a ticking, maybe a brushing sound in the top of all the gears. I've got the shop manual and all, but I've never adjusted them or worked on one. Whatcha think, will a regular trans shop likely be willing to play with it a bit? In need of advice...it's a reliable truck and I want to keep it that way. Thanks!
