Thanks for the reassurance. It does make me feel a little better. The machine shop can get the bearings to fit the grind, so that doesn't seem to be a problem. Patrick's can get me a crank for $175.00, which while added cost seemed like it might be a safer, more assured route. I like what you have to say though and I think I will give it a try with my crank as is. It is a 261, by the way, but it is my understanding that the 235 and 261's are similar in every aspect save the pistons, rings, and larger oil passages in the 261. Thanks again.
