I took pictures every step then learned a valuable lesson about letting my darling wife load film in the camera. The donor transmission gave up the tailshaft so I would have the splines to match the new driveshaft. The otherend of this roughly 9" piece had a spline machine on it to match the old universal joint so I could leave it in place for the speedo drive. These were pinned together and a housing machined with a bushing in the front to carry the old universal joint(of course it doesn't universal anymore) and a standard chevy bushing and seal in the rear for the new driveshaft. Stock 38 tranmission with new open drive line. If you want to consider doing this email me and I'll sketch it up with dims.
