| | | | Joined: Aug 2004 Posts: 141 Wrench Fetcher | | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Aug 2004 Posts: 141 | I was just looking at a removable posi-trac third-member (pumpkin) for a solid-axle Corvette on E-Bay. It looks just like my '59 Apache's removable third-member. I e-mailed the seller who informed me that the unit is for a 17 spline-count. Well, that's what my Apache has. I've heard that the solid-axle 'Vettes used the same differential units as the pickups. Now, I'm just a tad more convinced. So, before I go buy me an old 'Vette posi unit, I'd appreciate whatever input I could get.
