You are probably going to have to pull it out & o-haul it with that much play. To adjust it grab the joint on top that goes to the steering wheel. If there is any play in it loosen the lock nut on the bottom & adjust the bearing nut till the play is gone & tighten the lock nut. Do the same with the sector shaft adjustment on top of the box. Be shure wheels are straight ahead when you do this. Turn wheels back & forth & check for binding. Remove the center bolt on top & fill it with heavy gear lube.
