no U shaped mount - the early V8s [TF years] had
mounts that riveted on the cross member on each side near the original 235 mount points [the larger hole in the cross member in that pic], and the pegs were attached to the front of the motor - the V8 mounts were only put on if the truck was getting a V8 - by 60, they used the side mounting points on the V8, well behind the front cross member, which should still have the holes in it for the
235 mounting points Bill
