After checking the Moog catalog, I think you could do the conversion just like a 1/2 ton by swapping the knuckles and balljoints. The balljoints are the same from'71-'91 so availability should be ok. The #'s are K6122(upper) and K6129T(lower). You may want to compare the parts in person to verify compatibility.
