I am running an alternator 100 amp, so don't know if your generator would handle the load. The amperage can be quite high, typically 25-30 Amps on fan start up and 18-20 on constant run,for a large single pusher or puller fan. However, most installation kits, Painless Wiring, American Autowire, Dakota Digital, etc. etc. all provide a relay with wiring instructions, to reduce the amperage draw.
