For best results migrating O.E. carburetors:

Generally, an O.E. carburetor may be migrated to a similiar engine/transmission/vehicle with an engine displacement within 3 percent of the original engine.

3 percent of 250 CID is 7.5 CID. 250 CID - 7.5 CID is 242.5 CID. The 235 does not fall in the range.

This does NOT mean you cannot make the switch, but results may be less than desired.
