I'm installing a rebuilt 3 speed Saginaw to go with my rebuilt 292. I went the whole 9 yards, new pressure plate clutch throw out bearing pilot bushing. Used the alignment tool,triple checked made sure everything lined up. Now time to slide er in. It stopped 1" from the bell housing and wont go further. Tried a little high temp grease on the splines Nada. I've never run in to this problem before. All the trannys I put in will go in ok with a little effort.
