Hey guys, I'm new here, but I can shed some light
on the situation. I work at a tire shop and would
definetly suggest radials, especially if your truck is going to see a lot of miles. I have
30x9.50x15's on my '55 3200 and I love 'em.
Oh, by the way, 215-85-16 should fine on a stock
rim, Ford used a 5.5 rim up into the early '80s.
I've mounted tires wider than that on them with
no problems. Just make sure to keep the inflation
correct and rotate rugularly.
