For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Mar 2006 Posts: 8 Junior Member | | Junior Member Joined: Mar 2006 Posts: 8 | I'm not big in the brains department so I have a stupid question for you guys. I have a 327 small block in my '66.The alternator bolts to the exhaust manifold that I want to replace with headers so I need to move it.The alternator mount kit I want is only compatable with a long water pump.Mine is short.I would like to chrome dress this engine so buying a chrome water pump is no problem. Here is the stupid question. Can I simply put a long water pump on this motor with just pulley changes?I have lots of clearance to the radiator so maybe bringing the fan closer would be better for cooling. Thanks, Daryl | | |
