| | | | Joined: Mar 2005 Posts: 627 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Mar 2005 Posts: 627 | The 1954 shop manual specifies the heavy 1/2 ton has 10-leaf rear springs. The standard 1/2 uses 7 or 8 leaf springs.
My 1-ton 1950 GMC has rear overload springs mounted above the regular springs and I'll bet they were an option for 1/2 ton trucks too.
