First of all I want to say that I have been reading The Stovebolt Page for about a year now and I have picked up a lot of information from all of you. Thanks.
But now I have a question of my own. I have a 1954
3100 with a 235 with fentons and a stock intake with carb. I have been running this setup for about a year and a half with no problems, but recently I started to notice a clatter under accelaration and it seems to be in the valve/rocker area. I did the tune up to specs and also checked it with a vacume gauge. The gauge would would not hold steady it would tick back and forth a slight bit at a regular interval. I also noticed that back at the exhaust pipes I could put my hand in front of the right exhast tip and it felt like the exhaust was coming out in an even flow but on the left side in had a stutter very much in rhythm with the ticking I saw on the vacume gauge. Do you think that I should do a valve adjustment or should I look at something else. Thanks
Frank.
