I have a 51 chevy 1/2 ton that I switched out the old drivetrain to a 350 v8, and put in power steering, and disc brakes on the front. I left the old straight axle on. It still bounces around like it used to, but I drive slow and I don't mind that at all. But when I hit a big dip or bump in the road, the truck will lurch a little to the side (usually to the left). Would sway bars help stop this? Is there any downside to sway bars?
