In addition to getting the tranny definately take the clutch, pressure plate, back up light plug and as much of the wire you can get, take any adaptor for the speedo that is hooked up to the tranny, and get the drive shaft or tranny yolk. You may also get the crossmember on the back of the tranny.
I used the clutch from the 85 s-10 I got my tranny from in my '51. It was the same diameter as the original, had the correct number of splines and was in good shape.
